MRE entrees are "ready to eat" and easy to prepare — no cooking is required. They are completely precooked, self-contained foods (military meals) that require NO REFRIGERATION and can be eaten cold, right out of the pouch (although we think they taste better heated, typically with the MRE Flameless Ration Heater, available for purchase separately).

MREs are packaged and designed to provide energy and nutrition for on-the-go situations, which makes MRE's an excellent choice for emergency food kits. They can also be enjoyed while camping, hiking, hunting, backpacking, picnicking, or traveling.
